God can still see you

To the Editor:

This is just my point of view, not that anyone cares. There are a lot of uncool things going on around us, things like people saying they want their country back, no jobs, blatant disrespect (seen every day) for the president of the United States of America and an unelected candidate like Ashley Woolard telling Hood Richardson if he doesn’t follow his (Woolard’s) words he will not get elected in Beaufort County (now that’s funny). But the most uncool of all has to be saggy pants.

Now I’m not old or I don’t think I am. I still will bang some jigga, Wayne or Flacka, but the sagging must stop for these reasons. No one wants to see your underwear, whether clean or stained. It has to be very distracting to step, text and pull up your pants; this may cause you to step into traffic. But the main reason is that not only does it bring a stigma to you but it hurts a whole race of young black men. We made it past the being followed in the store. We are working on the 18-28 dead or in jail; a trend that must not be followed. But the sagging must be grabbed and pulled up waist high and tied down with a belt. Do not believe this is just for my young brothers of color but it is also for my young white brothers.

If anyone takes this personal, sorry it’s my point of view and yes … stop wearing sunglasses in church; God can still see you.
