Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

After reading the latest Washington Daily News story on the City Council discussing possibly outsourcing the police department’s dispatching duties to the county, I would like the Daily News to do a story comparing the sheriff’s office and police department. How much money will really be saved and at what cost to public safety?

I am glad you are moving Sound Off to different pages in the paper. I get to read more of the paper now. I used to just read Sound Off and the obituaries, but now when I search for Sound Off I actually read more of the paper.

With all the doom and gloom about education cuts, I thought the lottery was going to save education. Where is the education lottery money going?
