Joseph Henry “J.H.” Newberry Jr., 76, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his son, 618 U.S. Highway 13 South, Goldsboro.
