Washington Harbor District Alliance is sponsoring a competition to create the artwork for the 2011 Pickin’ On the Pamlico commemorative poster.

The artwork should reflect the three main areas representative of the event: crabs, the river and people having fun. The competition is open to artists (any age) in Beaufort or Pitt counties.

The winning artist will be announced at the Washington Civic Center on June 23. The winning entry and all other entries will be displayed at the Turnage Theater during July.
