Mrs. Thelma W. Tyndall

Mrs. Thelma Lee Woolard Tyndall, age 70, a former resident of Washington, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Heritage Health Care in Farmville.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home and Crematory, Washington, conducted by Rev. Gordon L. Braxton, Jr. and Bobby Andrews. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Roger Braddy, Rodney Braddy, Timmy Sutton, Doug Alligood, Roger Woolard, and Melvin Hales.
Mrs. Tyndall was born in Beaufort County on February 23, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Julian Thomas Woolard and Olive Woolard. Mrs. Tyndall graduated from Bath High School. She worked at McClellan’s, Smith Brothers and as a nurse’s assistant at the former Britthaven of Washington. Mrs. Tyndall was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ. She had a passion for helping older people.
On August 25, 1958, Mrs. Tyndall married John Winston Tyndall, who survives.
Surviving with her husband are one son, John Allen Tyndall of Greenville; a brother, Leroy Woolard of Washington; and two sisters, Connie Winstead of Bath, Nelda Bennett of Aurora.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tyndall was preceded in death by a two sisters, Janice Marie Woolard and Aleta Gail Woolard.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home, 114 W. Victoria Court, Unit C, Greenville.
