On Friday at approximately 7:15 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny at a residence on Vermont Avenue, Washington.

Deputy Thomas Salinas responded to the residence and began an investigation. After conducting interviews, Salinas arrested Matthew Lane, 56, of Vermont Avenue, Washington, and charged him with Felony Breaking and Entering. Lane was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
