The East Carolina Bank’s senior vice president and chief administrative officer, Lorie Y. Runion, recently announced that Tina Basnight was promoted to vice president and compensation and benefits manager for ECB.
“Tina continues to build on her experience in human resources and her past experience with ECB has prepared her for the challenges of her new position,” said Runion. “Bank compensation and benefits is an important function for any organization and I am confident Tina will continue to excel in this capacity.”
Basnight started her career with ECB as a proof operator in June 1986. Since then, she has served in several functions, including payroll and insurance clerk, banking officer/human resources assistant and most recently as assistant vice president/payroll and benefits manager. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, and their daughter, Laura.
“I enjoy working for a community bank that focuses on its customers and the employees,” Basnight said. “ECB treats their employees with much respect and the area of compensation and benefits plays a vital role in the employee’s well-being and the institution’s bottom line.”
