Michael Christopher Hardison, age 35, a resident of 122 Lancaster Lane, Winchester, Washington, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Montreal, Canada, as a result of an accidental drowning.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 Thursday, July 7, 2011 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, conducted by Eddie Bowen and Thomas Hamilton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Eddie Ellison, Will Gautier, Scott Pake, Kevin Mitchell, Jim VanLandingham and Bobby Hodges.
Michael was born in Beaufort County on September 24, 1975. He was the son of Willie Alfred Hardison, Jr. and Helen Cheryl Smith Hardison.  Michael attended East Carolina University. He was a rising senior at Concordia University in Montreal. Michael was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ and was an avid reader.
Michael is survived by his parents, Willie and Helen Hardison of the home; his paternal grandmother, Hilda Hardison of Washington; several aunts and uncles; special cousins, Jennifer Mitchell, Will Gautier, Emily Pake; cousins, Andrew Hardison, Kellie Hardison, Steve Smith, Andrea Corpora, Rae Reinink, David Sawyer and two very special people in his life, Betsy and Bobby Hodges.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willie Hardison, Sr., and maternal grandparents, Louis and Helen Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home, 122 Lancaster Lane, Winchester, Washington.
