Ronald J. Moore

Mr. Ronald Jay Moore, age 75, a resident of 107 Knight St., Sherwood Forest Subdivision, Washington, N.C., died Friday, July 15, 2011, at his home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington with Eddie Bowen and the Rev. Lee Hendricks officiating. Larry Anderson, Lane Alligood, Alvin Ambrose, Jeff Edwards, Norman Hiatt and Trent Carawan will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Moore was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 28, 1935, to the late Alonzo Moore and Annie Clark Moore. On June 29, 1963, he married the former Ann Perry, who survives. Mr. Moore worked for 25 years as a chemical operator at Burroughs Welcome in Greenville. He loved woodworking as long as his health would allow. Mr. Moore was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ, and served in the United States Army.
In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Moore is survived by two sisters; Frankie Moore Edwards and Faye Moore Brame, both of Chocowinity.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is preceded in death by a brother: James R. Moore and a sister: Edna Moore Chandler.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17, 2011, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington and other times at the home located at 107 Knight St., Sherwood Forest Subdivision, Washington, N.C.
