Pope arrested; Boomer sought

On June 22, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny at a residence on Asbury Trails Drive, Washington.

The victim reported several items stolen, including a laptop.

As a result of an investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore obtained warrants charging Jodeci Boomer, 19, of Sandpointe Drive, Washington, and Cortez Pope, 17, of Pheasant Drive, Washington, each with one count of felony breaking and entering and one count of felony larceny.

On Wednesday, Pope was served with warrants in the Beaufort County Detention Center and held under an additional $3,000 secured bond.

Boomer remains at large.
