To the Editor:

No one has to be reminded to try and find some relief from this heat wave.

Back in the days before air conditioning, a friend was chastised by his Sunday school teacher of college men for missing church services one Sunday. He tried to excuse himself by saying, “But Miss Sarah, it’s so hot!” She retorts, “You’d better start thinking about how hot hell’s gonna be.”

Do you think God’s giving us a subtle hint?
