To the Editor:

Thanks to the Washington Police Department, my daughter has enjoyed riding her bicycle once again this summer!

You see, on Easter Sunday of this year, it was taken from our side yard in broad daylight. Fortunately, we had a picture of the bike as well as the serial number. A little over a month ago, I received a phone call from Lt. William Chrismon with the WPD. Through the keen observation and teamwork of his officers, my daughter’s bicycle had been retrieved!

I just want to thank the WPD for their diligence and great work in returning my daughter’s bike and enabling her to enjoy it for yet another summer.
