Mr. Edmund Varner Lee Jr., age 51, a resident of Chocowinity, died Monday, July 25, 2011.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by Dr. Richard Sheriff and Travis Boyd. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Bruce Lee, Randall Morgan, Rich Finch, Greg Tuten, Doug McRoy II and Eric Tuten will serve as pallbearers. Randy Smith and Blake Lee will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Lee was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 28, 1959, to Edmund Varner Lee Sr. and Phyllis Tuten Lee who survive. On Oct. 22, 1983, he married the former Linda Morgan. He was an auto body repairman with Doug Henry Chevrolet in Farmville and was a prospect with the Frog Level Motorcycle Club.

Survivors include his wife Linda Lee of the home, one son, Bruce Lee of Washington; his parents, Edmund and Phyllis Lee of Washington; one brother, David Noah Lee and wife Patricia of Washington; one sister, Cathy Lee Waters and husband Colonel David L. Waters of Fort Polk, La., and one grandson, Mason Scott Lee.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his mother-in-law, Janet Gayton, 136 Sunset Drive, Chocowinity, and his parents, Edmund and Phyllis Lee, 215 Hudnell St., Washington.
