William “Marty” Walker

Mr. William “Marty” Walker, age 54, a resident of 404 W. 15th St., Washington, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by pastor Phillip Jethro.
Marty was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 24, 1957, son of William Ray Walker and Marion Rogerson Walker. He was a 1975 graduate of Pamlico Community School and attended East Carolina University. He was a graduate of Beaufort County Community College with a machinist degree. He was employed as an assembler with Weir Values for over 20 years. On May 1, 2009, he married the former Pamela Ausbon. Marty was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Alligood Church of God. He loved to surf, fish and hunt.
In addition to his wife, Pam of the home, he is survived by his sister: Cindy Arnold and her son, Christopher Arnold and wife, Jessica and their sons Blake and Christian, all of Washington; his brother: Michael Walker and wife Susan of Washington; his stepdaughters: Samantha Weathersby and Alexis Weathersby both of Greenville; his brother-in-law: James Roy Ausbon, Jr. and wife Sandra and their son, Thomas and his mother-in-law: Evelyn Joyce Ausbon of Washington.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
