The North Carolina Estuarium will hold a series of six yoga classes beginning Aug, 25 and running through Sept. 29. Classes will take place each Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The program instructor will be Vail Rumley. Rumley earned her yoga certification at the Yoga College of India in Los Angeles in 2003. She taught yoga in New York City before moving to Washington. She has taught basic, intermediate and restorative classes at Lifestyles Medical Fitness Center. She has led youth classes at the Summer Splash program in Aurora and the Beaufort County Arts Council’s Art Camp.
Cost for the class is $25 per person. The program will primarily involve vinyasa yoga, which focuses on stretching, alignment and breathing. It is excellent for yoga novices. Call 252-948-0000 to register. Class is limited to 20 participants, but additional classes may be added in coming months.
