Styons charged with B&E

On Thursday, deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1270 Seymour Price Road in Jamesville in reference to a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. When deputies arrived, they received initial information from the victims and began to search for the suspect. Deputies located Timothy Jay Styons walking on Seymour Price Road, a short distance from the victim’s residence. Styons was detained as a suspect in the investigation. During a subsequent search of Styons, deputies recovered a small vial of what appeared to be cocaine. Investigators were contacted and assisted the deputies in their investigation.

During the investigation of the breaking and entering of the motor vehicle, deputies received an additional report of an attempted breaking and entering of a residence, a breaking and entering of a barn and breaking and entering of two motor vehicles at 1516 Seymour Price Road.

Through the investigation, it was found that there were no items stolen during any of the breaking and entering incidents; however, there was minor property damage.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, Styons, 32, of 1515 Seymour Price Road, was arrested and charged with the breaking and entering offenses, the attempted breaking and entering and the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

Styons was held on a $375,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
