Isn’t it interesting that we lament the fact that America lags behind other leading countries in the education of its children and, at the same time, there are those who questioned why lost days must be made up. Rather, we should demand that every day of lost instruction for our children be made up, and in fact, that children should get more days of instruction. Regrettably, the low value we place on education is a clear indication of how very little we value our children and their future.
