Mr. William Walter Purvis, 56, a resident of 1311 Highland Drive, Washington, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at University Health Systems Inpatient Hospice. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. today at the chapel. The family will receive friends at 832 Fleming St., Washington. Arrangements are by Whitfield & Whitley Funeral Home.
