James “Red” Edward Davenport, 82, a resident of Creswell died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Roanoke Landing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Plymouth. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church, Creswell with the Rev. Susie Slader officiating. Burial will follow in the Davenport family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church.
