On Nov. 8, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to Trails End South, Washington, in reference to a female, screaming for help, who called the office’s communications center.

Deputies arrived on scene and found a 5-year-old child who had been splashed in the face with bleach during a domestic dispute.

As a result of an investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore obtained a warrant charging Antonio Winters, 23, of N.C. Highway 171 near Washington with one count of malicious throwing of corrosive acid or alkali. Winters was arrested Thursday and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond set by Magistrate David Curtis.
