Darleen’s Flamingo 5K, a fundraiser held in memory of Darleen Smith, raised $12,500 to benefit the Marion Shepard Cancer Foundation. The second annual “Make Your Own Party” road race was held Nov. 5. The mission of the Shepard Cancer Foundation is to financially support and promote the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center in its efforts to improve the mind, body and spirit of cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
