Mr. Andrew Thomas Bryant Sr., 72, a resident of 1660 W. Fifth St., Lot 14, Washington, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at his home following a long–term illness.
Mr. Bryant was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he worked most of his life as a self-employed tree surgeon. He was also an employee of the City of Washington and Barrus Construction Company.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife of 51 years, Scarlet Faye Bryant of Washington; two daughters, Alice Bryant of Henderson and Linda Bryant of Columbia, S.C.; one son, Thomas Bryant Jr. of Greenville. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren and eight great–grandchildren.
The family would like to acknowledge two very dear friends for their love and kindness, Mrs. Pearlie Mae Leggett and Mrs. Geraldine Moore, both of Washington, and also Community Hospice Care and the many friends in Washington and Greenville.
The family will receive friends at the home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. A private memorial service will be held for the family on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
