Alma S. Hassell, 88, a resident of Roper, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Scuppernong Church of Christ, Creswell. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
