On April 20, 2011, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a home on South White Post Road, Pinetown.

During an investigation, investigators learned two juveniles had been assaulted.

On Dec. 12, 2011, Lt. Jamie Cahoon presented the investigation’s findings to a Beaufort County grand jury. Three true bills of Indictment were returned against Charlie Clayton Daniels Sr., 61, of South White Post Road, Pinetown, charging him with three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Daniels was arrested Saturday and brought before Magistrate Donald Sadler. Daniels was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $6,500 secured bond. Daniels is a registered sex offender for a prior sex-offense conviction in Beaufort County.
