BCCC’s Business and Industry Services offers a seminar to train business owners to use communication as a strategic leadership tool. The seminar, Creating a Leader’s Voice, will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

There are many skills and tools an effective leader has in his or her toolbox. This workshop will help managers and supervisors become more effective communicators — a great addition to that toolbox. Workshop participants will learn about seven powerful tools they can use to communicate with employees and co-workers and become better prepared for effective communication and successful leadership.

The instructor for the seminar is Gregg Pilburn, a trainer, facilitator and personal coach. Pilburn is the author of “Beyond Chaos.” Since 1991, has been owner and president of Leader’s Edge Consulting.

The seminar is co-sponsored by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. It is offered free of charge, but preregistration is encouraged to ensure placement.
