The Quick Start II building has been for sale for four years. Why is it not being offered for sale to the public by area real-estate agents? Why does it not have a disclosed, publicly quoted price?

Thirty million dollars spent on campaign funds. Money is too expensive to be used this way.

Yes, I have found something positive to say about the Washington Daily News for the past four, five, well, at least a week. It was the one source we could go to without having to have Whitney Houston thrown in our face 24/7, and I appreciate that so very much.

Vail Rumley’s article on the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation was right on. The river is the most important asset in Beaufort County, and everyone should do what they can to protect it and also support PTRF in its efforts to do so.

I would like to know how a young woman who’s working two jobs and going to school and trying to survive can pay $190 for a visit at a Washington doctor’s office taken over by Vidant Health? This is ridiculous. It took a whole week’s pay to pay for that visit. Something’s wrong with this picture.

What an excellent editorial Tuesday morning about the role of a local newspaper. Absolutely on target. But who is doing your sports section? ACC games are not even put in there. We hear about hockey from all over the world, but we need ACC in our basketball country. This is where we live. That should be in the local sports section.
