Well, I see North Carolina lost another good employer. It would have been a big company, paid good money and everything. But it’s gone now. So, much for North Carolina.

Concerning the feral cats: why doesn’t the City of Washington hire a cat patrol. Set them up an office on the waterfront with a storage building for cat food, and then they can patrol the waterfront and look for people feeding the cats who are not supposed to be feeding the cats and then have them thrown in jail.

It is unbelievable that our county now finds it necessary to hire a $50,000 lobbyist to represent Beaufort County’s interest in the Legislature. Let’s hope that our $50,000 tax burden will ensure that our newly divided county’s representatives will be on the same page as our lobbyist.
