Judith Faircloth Aycock, 66, a resident of 20215 U.S. Highway 264 East, Swan Quarter, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at her home following an extended battle with cancer.
Born in Baltimore, Md., Sept. 1, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James Hubert and Zelma Athel Lee Purdee Faircloth. She operated an in-home bookkeeping service for more than 40 years and was an Emergency Medical Technician working with the Emergency Medical Services in Hyde County between 2002 and 2008. She attended many emergency services courses of study.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan Funeral Service in Swan Quarter. Rev. Rondy Ward will officiate.
Surviving are two sons, William Brian Austin of Swan Quarter and Thomas Shawn Aycock and fiancée Tina of Kenly; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Wendeln of Apex; an adopted daughter, Teresa Brantley of Kenly; three brothers, Jimmy Faircloth of Oxford, Jerry Faircloth of Creedmoor, and Jacky Faircloth of Swansboro; a sister, June Aiken of Rougemont; grandchildren, Amber Austin, Tyler Wendeln, Alexia Aycock, Kevin Aycock and Bethanee Aycock.
