A report of a subject selling drugs at a home in Pinetown resulted in an arrest, said a statement from the Beaufort County’s Sheriff’s Office. On March 9, Deputy Zack Martin responded to the residence with the suspect’s probation officer and found small amounts of marijuana and cocaine, digital scales, smoking pipes, and spirituous liquor during a search.
Sarah Ann Asby, 20, a resident of South Boyd Road, Pinetown, was charged with possession of cocaine, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of spirituous liquor by defendant less than 21.
“Miss Asby was very cooperative,” said Major Kenneth Watson of the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the North Carolina state parole office. Asby was held under a $4,000 secured bond at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
