Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.
Tuesday evening, my wife, daughter and I were on our way to watch our grandson play ball in Chocowinity when we had a flat tire. We pulled over and attempted to change the tire, when a man came to help us. He changed the tire and helped us get on our way. Thanks to a true gentleman, Mr. Jay Barr, we only missed a few minutes of our grandson’s game.
The Moore County Historical Society had an excellent tour of Little Washington given by three members of the Washington Area Historic Foundation. The tour ended on East Second Street in a beautiful home, where we had refreshments. Many, many thanks.
