Courtney Nicole Leffelman, a graduating senior from Washington High School, received a $500 scholarship award from the Washington/Kinston P.E.O. Chapter AI. P.E.O. is an international women’s organization established as a sisterhood to support higher education for women around the world. Leffelman plans to attend East Carolina University’s Honor College with aspirations of completing a degree in nutrition. Leffelman recently joined several P.E.O. sisters for lunch where she was presented the scholarship award.
