Beaufort County Community College welcomed more than 225 new students to its campus last week at new-student orientation for students who plan to attend BCCC for the first time this fall. The two orientation sessions — held during registration week — gave students the chance to familiarize themselves with the campus, meet their instructors and register for classes. College officials reported that registration of new and returning students for the fall 2012 semester was brisk. Students will have another chance to register for classes at late registration, set for 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 14. Classes begin Aug. 15.
