Taylor, Pancake join First Bank

First Bank announced G. William Taylor III and Helen Pancake have joined the executive team at its Washington location. Taylor and Pancake bring nearly 60 years of combined banking experience to the branch.
Taylor has been appointed area executive and senior vice president. He brings 33 years of banking experience and successful business development initiatives to his new position.
Pancake has been named area executive associate and assistant vice president. She brings 26 years of experience to her new position.
“William’s industry experience coupled with his commitment to the Washington community make him an outstanding choice for this post,” said First Bank Regional Executive and Senior Vice President Brad Mickle. “Helen’s strong ties to the community and knowledge of overall banking operations make her a tremendous asset to customers and businesses in the area. We are glad to welcome them both to the First Bank family.”
A lifelong Washington resident, Taylor is a graduate of Pamlico Community School. He earned his bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in management from East Carolina University. He worked for a national bank prior to joining First Bank.
An active member of the community, Taylor is a member and past president of the Washington Noon Rotary. He is also a board member of The Salvation Army of Washington, Beaufort County Committee of 100, a member of the Washington Yacht & Country Club, past officer of Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce and past campaign chairperson for Beaufort County United Way.
Originally from Parkersburg, W.Va., Pancake has resided in Pitt County for 12 years. She is a graduate of Keyser High School and attended Potomac State College. She worked for local and national banks prior to joining First Bank.
Pancake has two children, Jeffery Sweitzer and Heather Little.
