Time for action

If there was one thing the Democrats’ national convention and the Republicans’ national convention had in common it would be rhetoric — and plenty of it.

Enough with the words. This nation needs some action. It’s got an economy that needs help. It needs to put millions of unemployed people back to work. It needs to find alternatives to oil and coal as energy sources.

Voters should mark ballots, choosing the candidates they believe will provide the best direction and leadership for their counties, states and nation. For those who are not registered to vote but eligible to do so, they should register and exercise their right to vote.

Conventions are for talk. Elections are for actions.

Voters, you will help determine those actions by marking ballots.
