Mrs. Barbara Taylor Edwards, age 69, a resident of 756 NC Hwy 33 West, Chocowinity, NC died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, officiated by the Rev. George Jones.
Mrs. Edwards was born on December 18, 1942, in Beaufort County to the late Ralph Taylor and Magalene Sutton Taylor. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School. On February 18, 1961, she married Clarence R. Edwards, who survives. Mrs. Edwards worked for the past fifteen years at Unique Gifts and Framing in Washington. She was an active member of Chocowinity United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, Timothy Edwards of San Francisco, California.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2012, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
