Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

The problem with Washington is not the city logo. The problem with Washington is the inability to prioritize where money is spent. What’s more important, a new city logo or a brightly lit waterfront? What will attract more tourists? Talk about being in the dark.

People shouldn’t worry about whether they are better off four years ago than they are today. They should worry about were they were better off a year ago than they are today.

The Sound Off caller complaining about funding for prekindergarten managed to insult hard-working teachers and hard-working parents in one sentence. What 4-year-olds can learn under the guidance of professional educators lays a valuable and solid foundation for their future educational success. Not many families can afford for one parent to not work and instead stay home and try to provide their children with proper academic fundamentals.
