Mrs. Sarah R. Gaylord, 72, of Mackeys, NC, Salisbury, NC and Miami Beach, FL passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.
She was born November 9, 1939, in Martin County, NC  to the late Lomas K. Reason and Dare Hardison Reason.
Mrs. Gaylord is survived by many, many friends and loved ones plus her husband, William Gaylord; daughters, Kathryn Chase and husband Jeff; Jennifer Sheppard and husband Raymond Alessandrini; brother, Bobby Reason and wife Diane; nephew, Rex Reason and wife Lauren Grimes; nieces, Gina Bowen and husband Earl, Joy Smith and husband Jeff; and grandchildren: Zack Sheppard, Berkley Alessandrini, Carter Chase, Grayson Chase, Whitney Chase and McKenna Chase. Also surviving are great-nieces: Haley Bowen, Kinley Bowen, Macy Bowen and Kylie Smith; great-nephews: Davis Reason and Easton Smith; and “sons” Randall Clement and Heinz Derwein.
The family will receive friends at 12:30 PM Saturday (Sept 22) at Summersett Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at 1 PM in Summersett Memorial Chapel on 1315 West Innes St., Salisbury, NC 28144; conducted by Jon Allen of High Rock Community Church.   The family invites you to A Celebration of Life Party which will be held immediately following the memorial service at a location that is to be announced.
