Mrs. Lorita Bridgman Sanders, age 54, a resident of Belhaven went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, September 24, 2012, while at the home of her daughter in Greenville, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. Services will be officiated by Pastor Barbara Dellano, Pastor Ann Baines and Pastor William Sanders. Burial will follow in Odd Fellow Cemetery of Belhaven. Michael Valverde, Ronnie Hopkins, Scott McDonald, Bobby Harper, William Lanier and James “Porky” Lynn will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Beaufort County on January 8, 1958, daughter of the late Allen Dale Bridgman and the late Virginia Fay Waters Bridgman. She was a graduate of Pungo Christian Academy of Belhaven and continued her Christian education at Emmanuel College and School of Christian Ministries in Franklin Springs, GA, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries. Mrs. Sanders was a minister with Redemption Glory Ministries and an ordained minister with Cross Country World Missions. She ministered in ten countries and across the United States. Mrs. Sanders married William Darrell Sanders on August 16, 1980, who survives.
Surviving along with Mrs. Sanders’ husband William of the home is a daughter: Malina Sanders Rodriguez and her husband Giovanni Valverde of Greenville and two brothers: Kirby Bridgman and wife Marlyn of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Colin Bridgman and wife Anita of the Pamlico Beach community of Belhaven. Mrs. Sanders was predeceased by a son: Jeremy William Sanders on March 20, 2002.
The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Mrs. Sanders’ daughter, Malina, located at 1912 B Cambria Dr., Greenville, NC.
