This Wednesday, I encourage you to stop by the Washington Civic Center for the Beaufort County Business Expo presented by Suddenlink and the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce. The expo will be a great place to see what our local businesses have to offer, discuss employment with local employers, sample food from local restaurants, enter to win great prizes and get to see firsthand local goods and services. The expo is free and open to the public from the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 plm.
Beaufort County Community College’s Business and Industry Services has assembled a great lineup of speakers who will host free seminars during the day. At 11 a.m., Greg Coltrain with TriCounty Telecom will speak on technology for small businesses. At noon, Pam Pippin with P-Inc. will talk about change management and how to handle change. At 1 p.m., Lentz Stowe, with BCCC’s Business and Industry Services, will talk about resources for small businesses. These seminars are a great way to learn from experienced professionals and apply it to your everyday life.
More than ever, as we continue to face challenging times, it is important to support your local businesses. The Business Expo is a great way to do this. Please take the time Wednesday to stop by the Washington Civic Center and see what great businesses we have here in Beaufort County, sample food from some local restaurants and register to win prizes. We can all make a difference in our local economy and coming to the Business Expo is a great way to start.
