If you believe that the jobless rate has reduced to 7.8 percent, then I’ve got a bridge I want to sell you.

Why would anyone give their family monthly income amount to employees of the school system? A form asking for this private and confidential information was sent home with all students. Superintendent Don Phipps made a robo-call plea for this information Sunday, What was he thinking?

The Beaufort County commissioners in the proposed sale of the Quick Start building included a requirement that natural gas be provided to the structure. It would be great if they had the same concern for the citizens of Beaufort County. We need natural gas and the many benefits it has over propane and heating oil, especially the lower costs.
