Mr. Bobby Ray Buck, age 73, a resident of 224 Mouth of the Creek Road, Chocowinity, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 26, 2012 at Providence Cemetery and will be conducted by Travis Boyd.
Mr. Buck was born in Beaufort County on August 3, 1939 to the late Richard and Louise Porter Buck. On May 11, 1968 he married Mertie Mae Jones who survives. He was a supervisor in construction and took great pride in building many different things throughout his life, even traveling overseas to work on building a naval base. Mr. Buck loved his children and grandchildren very much.
Survivors include his wife Mertie J. Buck of the home, three daughters, Angela Moore and husband Mitch of Washington, twins, Aimee Buck of Chapel Hill, Amanda Buck and partner Ted Sandridge of Durham, one son, Anthony “Tony” Buck and wife Robin of Liberty Hill, Texas, two grandsons, Butch Moore and Griffin Moore of Washington, two granddaughters, Sarah Buck and Elizabeth Buck of Liberty Hill Texas, two sisters, Patricia Lewis of Washington and Carolyn Marslender and husband J.L. of Plymouth and a special friend, Roland Beavers.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
