Controlled purchases of prescription pain medication by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit led to the arrest of a Pantego woman last week.
Amiee Dunn Dail, 37, of 250 Topping Loop Road, Pantego, was arrested Dec. 4 and charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, level I trafficking in opiates by possession and level I trafficking in opiates by transportation.
A spokesman for the drug unit said the pain meds were oxycodone and the Dec. 4 arrest was not Dail’s first run-in with narcotics investigators.
“She was out on bond at the time for trafficking in opium,” the spokesman said. Dail was held at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
