Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

I’m horrified to live in a county that allows animals to be torn apart by dogs.

Do you know what grinds my gears? People that have to come to a complete stop to make a turn. Left or right, it does not matter. They have to come to a complete stop to turn no matter how fast traffic is going behind them.

I am 87 years old, a World War II veteran and my annual income is substantially under $250,000. In 2013, my Social Security payments will be reduced approximately $50 a month as a result of Obamacare increasing my monthly Medicare premiums by 50 percent. So much for no tax increases on incomes under $250,000 promised by Obama. Tax-paying citizens who voted for Obama in 2012 will rue the day when you see the impact of Obamacare on Medicare costs and premiums.

I enjoyed Saturday’s Sound Off. One thing was missing. Where can I get a government-surplus pickle barrel?
