Mrs. Jennifer Ann “Jenny” Haddock Roman, age 51, a resident of Washington, NC died Monday, January 21, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Haddock Family Cemetery in Clay Root. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Bryant. Pallbearers will be Steve Roman, Johnnie Clark, Nabe Mills, Lee Mills, Johnny Clark and Derrick Allen Asby. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Jenny’s mother Ruth Wiggins, located at 216 Clayton Street, Washington, NC.
Jenny was born in Beaufort County on July 19, 1961, daughter of the late Grady Davis Haddock, Sr. and Ruth Godley Wiggins who survives. She attended Pitt County Schools and dedicated her life as a homemaker to her family. Jenny married Charles Edward Roman, Jr. on August 4, 1997.
Surviving along with Jenny’s husband Charles of the home is a daughter: Brandy Leigh Haddock of Greenville; a son: Dustin Brooks “Duck” Haddock of Washington; her mother: Ruth G. Wiggins of Washington; a sister: Linda Mills and her husband Lee of Chocowinity; a grandson: Ezekiel Lee Haddock of Washington; a nephew: Marvin Nabe Mills of Chocowinity and a great-nephew: Hunter Mills of Chocowinity. Jenny was predeceased by two brothers: William Scott Hulon and Grady Haddock, Jr.
