CMSgt (Ret.) Lawrence  “Larry” Good, 83, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 5 PM at First Christian Church in Washington. Burial will follow with full military honors on Thursday at Noon in Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton, Virginia.
Larry, son of the late Bertha Saari and William Lawrence Good, was a native of Beaufort County. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars retiring with more than 23 years of service. He then worked for Fountain Power Boats for a number of years and was fondly known as the “Boat Man.” Larry greatly enjoyed fast cars, boats and planes.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Good in 1996 and brothers, Allen and Gale Good.
He is survived by: Son, Michael Good and wife, Terry, of Zhuhai, China; Daughters, Cheryl Good and husband, Bobby Wells of Farmville, Lori G. Purser of Greenville, Valerie G. Jones and husband, Shane, of Clayton; Grandchildren, Jeremy & Kristie Gonzalez of Greenville, Dana & Jamie Adams of Clayton, Eric Good and Carrie Amici, both of Greenville, Casey & Mike Hale of Edmond, OK, Drew Jones, Madison Jones, both of Clayton, Robert Wells of Farmville; Great-grandchildren, Jared & Daniel Gonzalez of Greenville, Kaitlin and McKenzie Adams of Clayton; Sisters, Deanna & Larry Baker, Genell Galloway, and Shirley & Sammy Phelps; and Brother, Gene & Martha Good, all of Texas.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church on Wednesday evening.
