Had an interesting discussion with several people about our style of government. What if the United States went to a — now bear with me — what the British have: Parliament, parliamentary government? Of course, we would not have a monarchy, but the governing body, the parliamentary style government is really interesting. Does anybody else think so?

Hey, I see Hood Richardson walked out of the commissioners’ retreat when he didn’t get what he wanted on the jail vote. Just another example of his immature, aggressive and bullying tactics. I wonder if he will ever realize that his angry, mean-spirited behavior is just not working for him. I say, Hood, keep on walking. It’s the best thing you could ever do for Beaufort County. Don’t forget to resign on your way out.
