George “Herman” Brame

Mr. George “Herman” Brame, age 79, a resident of Highway 33 E., Cho- cowinity, NC, died on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. A graveside celebration of his life with military honors will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Edwards Cemetery, Hwy 33 E. Cho- cowinity, NC officiated by Pastor Henry Horne. Christopher Brame, Gregory Brame, Philip Michael Brame, Jacob Congleton, Javier Lo- zano and Matthew Shaw will serve as pallbearers. The family will re- ceive friends Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC and other times at the home.
Herman was born in Beaufort County on March 15, 1934 son of the late Norman and Jessie Hill Brame. He was married to Betty Dixon Brame who survives. Her- man worked for Dupont as an electrician retiring after 33 years of service. He also had a passion for farming which he had done as long as his health permitted. Herman served his country in the Army.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Phil- lip Brame and wife Emily of Eidson, TN; his daugh-
ters, Kimberly Shaw of Salisbury, NC and Kimberly Congleton and husband Troy of Chocowinity, NC; his brother, Carlton Brame and wife Lucy of Chocowin- ity; his sister, Bernice Boyd of Chocowinity, NC; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Brame and his sister Carol Brame. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Blind Center, 221 N. Harvey St., Washington, NC 27889.
