Published 6:32 pm Tuesday, May 21, 2013
Churches, want to let people know your Vacation Bible Schools? Nonprofit groups, want to inform people about your summer activities for children?
The Washington Daily News is preparing to publish its annual summer-fun guide. One of the guide’s purposes is to let area residents know what’s available for their children (and themselves in come cases) during the upcoming summer. The guide also will include information on boating — public boat ramps and private marinas — biking, aquatics, golf and camping among other summer-related activities and programs.
Please submit information about activities — occurring from June 1 through Sept. 15 — to the Daily News by email at news@thewashingtondailynews.com. Items may be submitted by delivering them by hand to the Daily News’ office, 217 N. Market St., Washington.
Please include the organization’s name, the type of event or program being offered, cost (if any) to participate, dates and times of the event(s) and location(s) of the event(s). Some items submitted may not be suitable for publication.
Items must be submitted by noon Friday, May 24.
Generally, events and programs should be open to the public.
