Mrs. Doris M. Hedgebeth Moore, 89, of 106 Campbell St., Plymouth, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at home.

A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Friday at New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry White officiating and Bishop Avery Barnes delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Moore family cemetery.

Mrs. Moore was born in Washington County on December 23, 1923. She was the daughter of the late James and Nancy Mercer Hedgebeth. She was a member of Temple of Christ Church and a homemaker. Her husband, Wiley Moore, Sr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Wiley Moore Jr., Bronx, N.Y., Roddy Moore, Sr., Yorktown, Va., Eric Moore, Wilson; four daughters, Dorothy E. Bentley, Bronx, N.Y., Brenda Bunche, Randallstown, Md., Carolyn Brown, Detroit, Mich., Michele Evans, Stockbridge, Ga.; 29 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Temple of Christ Church and other times at the home.
