Mrs. Shirley Jean Wells Smith, age 69, a resident of Lover’s Ln., Washington, NC, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at River Trace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A graveside celebration of her life will be held today at 11:00 AM at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington, NC officiated by Pastor Kent Gurganus. The family will receive friends today, one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy. 264 E., Washington, NC and proceed to the cemetery in procession. The family will also receive friends at the home of her daughter Wendy Martin, 294 Warren Place (Camp Leach Rd.), Washington, NC. Hillside Funeral Service  & Cremations is serving the Smith family.
